Publisher's Synopsis
Logan Brighton is coming home. Blackstone Cove looks the same as it ever did. It isn't the Cove that's changed. It's Logan who has changed. And he knows it. So far, he'd spent half his life dedicating everything he did to the defense of the United States of America as a Navy SEAL.
Now, an injury has taken that career away from him. And Logan isn't happy about it. He returns to Blackstone Cove where his two sisters, Jade and Emma, are planning a renovation of their family beach house, now that a year has passed since the death of their mother. He doesn't want to be there. But he loves his sisters and vows to make the transition as bearable as possible.
Katherine Barnhill already knows about Blackstone Cove. Her brother Daniel was once married to Logan's sister, Jade, and the two have a daughter together. What she doesn't expect is to find herself drawn to the wounded veteran once he makes an appearance. She knew of him but he was overseas up until he was wounded and she'd never met him in person. Katherine sees through the hard shell of armor he's built up around himself. The fact that he needs a physical therapist and she is fresh out of college with a degree in that very subject seems like divine intervention to her. She offers to help him and though he is resistant at first, he finally concedes.
His decision to let her in creates a whole new environment for both of them at the beach house. As their feelings for each other begin to grow and a surprise that jolts the entire family presents itself, they must decide what the best plan of action for the future might be and how quickly that plan should take place.
