Publisher's Synopsis
Large sums of money are being spent by the water industry on improving the general quality of bathing water around the coasts of England and Wales. This report gives individual beach data for the 1992 season, in which more beaches than before complied with the EC Directive on bathing water quality. It also provides information on longer-term trends, and the reasons for them. Comparisons are drawn with the implementation of the Directive in other EC member states.
