Publisher's Synopsis
This book is not written for scholars, it is meant for the layman and laywoman. If you are a person of higher learning, you may feel this is information you already are aware of, nothing new. What the author is hoping to do is to communicate with that young black mother and father who wants to speak to the conscience of their son or daughters black skin. Just as some day in this age they will have to have that conversation with their son or daughter about what to do when they are stopped by the police. They will also need to have that conversation with them on what it means to be black physically and culturally in a white dominated society.The author hopes to bring awareness to those young black boys or girls who are having thoughts and are gradually becoming aware of subtle differences between the way they are treated within society and those who do not look like them.
