Publisher's Synopsis

Avenging Ada tells the story of a young Igbo girl, Ada, who was sold into slavery over 200 years ago. Ada is the village belle and an orphan. Her kidnapping traumatized her older brother, Omenoro Wagu, who has been her guardian since the death of their parents. On identifying the culprit, Nefu, he set a date for the return of his only sister failing which, Nefu, shall "take whatever he sees come at him" from the hands of Omenoro Wagu. The deadline came and went and Ada was still missing. Then Omenoro Wagu and a few of his clansmen attacked Nefu and his priesthood clan driving them out of the town for seven years. The speed with which untold carnage was unleashed against that priesthood community by Ada's clan can only be compared to the speed of uncontrolled anger that cries out for urgent justice.
