Publisher's Synopsis
Avalanche has floppy ears and crooked legs. He lives on a ranch with other llamas and alpacas. His crooked legs couldn't take long walks, so he didn't participate in parades, and he couldn't compete in competitions either. Avalanche's hairy ears droop and dangle like a French Angora rabbit. Being different isn't always bad. Llamas, like people, have value whether they are born different or not.
So where Avalanche was different in one way from the other llamas, he was gifted with attributes that the other llamas didn't have. Sometimes you have to adapt to what you have and enjoy life either way.
