Many of the contributions to At Sea will discuss global migration and border politics, topics which are incredibly relevant in today's current events. Each contributor will bring in personal academic and institutional connections.As CUNY professors, the current series editors for WSQ have access to an academic network of eleven senior colleges, seven community colleges, the Macaulay Honors College, and five graduate and professional schools. The issue editors for At Sea are both based in New York, NY, and Terri Gordon-Zolov is the head of the gender studies department. Together, the academic editors of this issue have a very strong network in New York.
