Publisher's Synopsis
This volume reports on an evaluation of eleven supported accommodation provisions for those with mental health problems. The study was to explore through detailed interviews, various aspects of quality of life as experienced by those living in projects. In addition assessments were made by project staff of the social functioning and rehabilitation status of individuals. Projects were visited at three six-monthly intervals and 255 interviews were completed with 145 individuals. Throughout the book the focus is both on general patterns across the projects and on the more detailed responses from individual projects. Some comparative results are also presented from another Centre study on rehabilitation of psychiatric patients from a single hospital.
