Susan C. Fox witnessed her community struggling to recover from the United States' most devastating terrorist attacks and the most widely viewed attacks in the world. Susan C. Fox lived near Ground Zero in the Financial District in New York City from August 2002- November 2006. She received her MA in Philosophy and her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Binghamton University in upstate New York. She currently teaches at the Corcoran College of Art & Design and lives in Washington, DC with her husband and son. As the Dust Settles: Finding Life at Ground Zero is her first book.
