Publisher's Synopsis

It took me over five years to write my story, As I Remember, a true tale about my migrating experience, about my family, my growing life, and how I struggled to make ends meet and make things right for me and my children. As I Remember is also about my acting dreams. I tell the true story about myself, about my work and school life, my experience in drama, how I met my wife, and about having my eight children. When I first began to write As I Remember, I meant it to be just a few pages and was to be dedicated to my children. But as time went on and as I continued to write on it, my story sort of grew. Then I took some hand-written stories about myself that I wrote, many years ago, and added them to my work. I was born in San Juan, Texas on April 30th, 1945. I come from a family of fourteen; six boys and eight girls. As we migrated through the eastern parts of the country to follow the work seasons we ended up in Washington State where I was raised.
