As Days Darken

For centuries a darkness remained hidden beyond the shores of the Gronndelon. Foretold through visions of the Good King Valdór, a series of sudden beastly appearances and unnatural events could only mean the return of the Dökkgaldur heir; a shadow to lay claim on the lush and peaceful lands many call home.On the shores of Lake Vanalta, a young man, Edlen, lives happily with his small family. However, the growing presence of the neighboring Nýland Empire threatens his family's livelihood. As they are forced apart, Edlen flees the Gronndelon in search of safety beyond its borders. But he encounters great dangers and creatures long forgotten as he escapes the ever-stretching forces of the enemy. Meanwhile, Edlen's mother Hellen and his six-year-old sister Gracie find themselves captured and taken aboard a ship of the Nýland Empire, enslaved to King Gunnvald's service. Hellen is willing to give everything to free her daughter from such horrors. But unable to escape herself, she finds herself closer to the King than she would have ever thought.
