New York City, Los Angeles, and Washington, DC have all been evacuated. The Bill of Rights has been abolished and replaced with the Moral Statutes. There are no more cops, just soldiers, and bad behavior is not punished. Instead of trials, people tend to just disappear. Seventeen-year-old Ember Miller lives with her single mother.
