It's been almost five years since it happened. I thought that it would one day leave me for good. It seems the deep ones are the deep ones for a reason. For the heart is a cavern, and I once heard it could take a lifetime to explore all the shiny ruby troves; perhaps two to shine a flashlight on all the dimly lit crevices. Especially for a monster. Only a moment of fear though, for I am quite aware that I am caressed and held by my Staur Mother. I can feel this profoundly through times of distress. How far I have come since I was thrown out into the scary world. And how fortunate I am for good Stauries to take me in. I can say that I have never been more in love with existence. What about you? Are you having a nice day? Do you find life to be a drear? What do you fear? I ask you these questions, not to fish, but to wish. For I have been saved from a storm of gross (though, still a work in progress), and I care to assist you if that is possible.
