Examining the Arab footprint throughout threads of a shared language, a mostly shared religion, and overlapping historical experience, this discussion of cause and effect—huge population growth, demand for food, water, education, and jobs, in addition to issues of global warming and national and regional security—is the challenge as Arabs prepare to meet the intense pressures of the 21st century.
