The role of food-related personality traits namely food neophobia and involvement in foods are studied for its relationship with the antecedents of the theory of planned behavior. Motives for food choice namely healthy lifestyle motive, food safety concerns motive and self-identity have also been explored as an antecedent of attitude in the theory of planned behavior or TPB as an extension.
