Ayodeji (Ayo) Ogunbuyide has over 10 years' experience of working with underserved and marginalised communities in the UK. This experience has enabled him to gain first-hand insight into the troubles of these communities. He has co-produced some innovative, sustainable interventions in tackling food poverty, homelessness, health inequalities, financial exclusion, marginalisation, and free mentorship for young people from ethnic minority communities. Apart from his vast track record of work within both UK public and third sector, Ayo was the pioneer Chair for Northamptonshire Black Communities Together. Ayo runs a UK registered Christian Community-Interest-Company called Shine Development Concept CIC with his wife. Over the last decade, the organisation has provided over 10,000 free food parcels for those in need. The Organisation runs a different foodbank where traditional African, Asian, and Caribbean food items are provided. Through partnership with a UK leading financial institution, Shine Development Concept CIC provided a national employment and employability mentorship for Black young people in the UK. From 2017 till covid in 2020, the organisation partnered with Northampton New Covenant Church and other strategic stakeholders to facilitate yearly free winter night shelter for people battling homelessness and rough sleeping. Ayo is a trained Project Manager. He bagged his Masters degree from the University of Northampton in Youth and Community Leadership. He is married to Oluwaseun and together they have two lovely children Mofi and Sam. With his wife, he pastors a growing branch of The Redeemed Christian Church of God in the United Kingdom.
