Publisher's Synopsis
My original concept was to provide a platform for poets in the speculative genres to showcase their poetry without being littered and lost amongst countless pages of explicit Gothic horror fiction. I think in this we have most certainly succeeded. Many editors of speculative fiction treat poetry as an evil necessity. This collection was intended to stand alone, as good poetry of any kind should. It was always going to be a collection of poetry more subtle, more whimsical and more labyrinthine than that which one usually reads in horror/sci fi/fantasy/ speculative magazines and anthologies. Likewise the art.
