Gray for the gift Of his collection of shells, an enormous series of several million specimens, the accumulation of a life-time of a close student and zealous collector. Mr. Gray's studies were associated with the work of many conchologists, and his collection contains a large amount of original material from the collections of W. G. Binney, Thomas Bland, and James Lewis, three distinguished students Of the land shells of the United States and the Antilles.
