Publisher's Synopsis

Angus Davitt, a cop in a New Jersey shore town circa 1990, is set up by fellow cops and suffers a perplexing fall from grace. WHY? The reader is left to wonder also, then taken on a deep dive into the lives of 4 friends as they grow into adulthood in the 1960's and 70's. The first person narrative is a virtual time capsule of growing up in middle class, post WWII patriotic America and is rich in cultural detail. Their personal experiences of the Newark inner city riots of 1967 and the Vietnam War force them to question everything they had been taught about patriotism and religious and moral faith as they go their separate ways. They are drawn back together in the "Convergence" by a chance meeting. The mystery of the first part of the book leads to a fast paced romp into the exotic world of offshore powerboat racing and the drug fueled culture of 1990 in the Florida Keys. Here, Angus and the reader find out "who done it and why." The Narrator lived it, in one form or another, and recounts the outrageous experiences with a sense of humor and an obvious love for adventure.
