It's Christmas Eve and Sergeant Sullivan is shocked to discover a small baby abandoned behind the local Spaghetti House, half buried in the blowing snow. Who among the good people of the small town of Eastbrae would do such a thing? He must call forth his rusty investigative skills to find the baby's true identity. That same blowing snow causes a small car to careen off the highway killing a young woman. Who is she and where does she belong? The young investigating officer is puzzled and toils tirelessly to discover her identity. The local "bad boy" now sitting alone in a squalid, cockroach-infested flat, is learning that life alone in the big city, away from his small town roots, is not as splendid as he imagined. During the Christmas week, using all the forensic tools available, with dogged determination and tenacity, along with the help of the townsfolk, the policemen unravel the mysteries and how they intertwined.
