Had a fimilar work been executed by any of thofe perfons, who are more capable, and more converfant with the period, and with the condufl of the noble Lord, than the Editor, the Public would not have been troubled with this attempt. It is now fourteen years fince Lord Chatham's death, and the writer has not heard, that any intention to offer a fimilar work has 'been in the contemplation of any fuch perfon.
