Christy, a young college co-ed tries to convince the mayor and city council to fund a Nativity Pageant to bring the Christmas Spirit to the town. They refuse, so she goes to the orphanage for actors and a stage.
Christy Marlow faces great challenges as she tries to put on the Nativity at the orphanage.
- The orphanage has no money to support it, and neither does she.
- The children have no costumes, nor do they have mothers to sew costumes for them.
- The stage at the orphanage is bare, with no lighting nor sound equipment.
- The secretary is against it and refuses to give support of any kind.
Then miracles begin to happen...
- Christy's apartment manager agrees to build a wooden manger...
- A woman in her apartment offers to help with costumes...
- A young woman who lives close by is willing to make tinfoil crowns for the three Kings...
- The night security guard offers to pay for the printing of the programs...
The result is a Nativity Pageant like no other - and the Christmas Spirit comes to town in unexpected ways.
