An Important Dash Along My Path

An Important Dash Along My Path is a heart-warming book of poetry regarding the author's spiritual awakening journey. Many times, the author felt like a modern-day spiritual Dr. Seuss, rhyming words to create and heal. After experiencing a loss from someone she felt to have shared a deep spiritual connection, she had to work through her feelings of dark and light, while questioning why it all had to happen. One moment her wildest dreams felt to be coming true, and, in an instant, it felt as though Pandora's box had opened creating absolute confusion and mayhem.
Significant feelings of deception, rejection, manipulation and loss all became part of her life that she had to learn to understand, accept, transform, heal and reinvent a new way of life. She knew the only choice was to dig deep within her soul to heal, find forgiveness, and unconditional love for the ones who inflicted the pain.
Feeling frustration from a lack of communication and clarity often halted through societal beliefs and the ways in which we are groomed to act yet always knowing that you can catch more flies with honey-so to speak... she learned to grow her strength back and recall her power to new ways of life. The author chose to create her own reality by not getting lost in a variety of ways that one may experience feelings of injustice or allowing negativity and pain to take over her life and create a feeling of victimhood. She found resiliency. It is much healthier and much more fun to find the positive in the hardships and mistakes and grow through them appreciating the lessons and blessings. Realizing that everything and every person one encounters in our life can present lessons we are meant to experience, learn, heal and grow from. It is our choice how we choose to perceive and receive the lessons. Gaining peace from the beautiful gifts that God brings us from the smallest to the largest of blessings. It is ok to make a mistake but learn from them and help others to see the light and new ways of thinking, feeling or believing. Healing from the magnificence of nature, art, and animals and learning to be still in the moment regardless of the multitude of traffic jams running through your mind. She encounters rediscovery of faith in God, self-love, and forgiveness while holding unconditional love in a world of chaos and uncertainty. There are always hidden treasures to come.
Throughout the creation of this book, the ultimate goals were to co-create with God, heal and love the self, and offer love and hope to others in their time of need in life.
