'An IITian Thing' is a story about an IITian named Sahil and his magical love story with a ghost named Rida, who came back to this world to search for her lost love, who looks like Sahil.
Sahil, a boy chasing his dreams, joined IIT Delhi, where thousands of nerds were already cultivating themselves through study fevers and the strict rules and regulations of the campus. He set out to change the lives of IITians and took on a mission to eradicate the blame on them that 'IITians are nerds, ' which he had heard from many girls.
One day, he fell into the trap of a girl named Rida, who sent a friendship request through Facebook and became friends with him. Rida came into his life like a tornado and changed his life's direction.
Sahil started dating Rida and experienced moments of life that he had always imagined in his dreams. Sahil experienced the real scent of a girl, where the moon was the witness of the twilight rainbow. But one day, his life was thrown into chaos when Rida left him alone, and he knew that he would never meet her again. Sahil searched for her everywhere but couldn't find her.
One day, Sahil discovered her home with the help of his friends, but the sky fell on his head when he found out that she died in the Sarojini Nagar blast two years ago, where he was also a survivor. He couldn't believe that he had dated and enjoyed a beautiful life with a ghost for the last two years. Sahil knew that he would never get her back, but his love and sentimentality started pushing him to catch her destiny. One day, Sahil met her again at the eleventh hour of the World. That was a dream, and he still believes in her existence in human form.
