Publisher's Synopsis

In 1914, a Prussian general denounced perpetual peace as "a silly dream." In 2012, the human community needs perpetual peace and harmony. Human beings need to bridge the continents of differences that separate them. Humanity needs to cooperate as one universal family. Earth could and should unite mankind! Comedian and philosopher, Bill Maher said, "Show me a god and I will believe in him." How about Earth? In the Twenty First Century believing Earth is God is my "silly dream" for perpetual peace. Earth is a God that does not require rituals, prayers or any organization. Earth will not demand reverence, devotion or punishment for disobedience. Let's replace outdated thinking with an innovative ideology because we have seen Earth from space. We can now feel the spirituality of a unified human race, of a planet society. But is Earth or anything else God? The great religions were founded on unity by remaining true to each and every version of their beliefs but it did not work. Humanity is perilously endangered. Are we destined to wage perpetual war? How many soldiers and civilians will continue to be sacrificed before wars are finally halted? How many more centuries will politicians proclaim their soldier's blood was not shed in vain? Let us consider changing our combined attitudes and possibly decide to declare Earth is God. This seed of an idea, when planted in people's minds, can germinate and spread around Earth into the flowering vines of an eternal, collective peace. The authenticity for this belief lies in the realization that while mankind has conceived the means to destroy itself, Earth will survive to replenish again. Only a God can have this power.
