Publisher's Synopsis

Collection of four animated adventures. 'An American Tail' (1986) tells the story of the Mousekowitz family who, in the 19th century, oppressed by cats, emigrate to America. However, when Fievel (voice of Phillip Glasser), the youngest son, gets washed overboard, he finds himself searching the streets of New York for his lost family members. In 'An American Tail: Fievel Goes West' (1991), Fievel decides he wants to leave his life in New York for a life of adventure and travels West to become a lawman alongside his hero Wylie Burp (James Stewart). In 'American Tail: The Treasure of Manhattan Island' (1998), Fievel helps Papa Mousekowitz (Nehemiah Persoff) escape the drudgery of his workplace by setting out with Tony (Pat Musick) and Tiger (Dom DeLuise) to find their fortune with a magical treasure map. Lastly, in 'An American Tail: The Mystery of the Night Monster' (2000), with Manhattan being terrorised by a mouse-nabbing monster, Fievel joins the team of the Daily Nibbler newspaper to get to the bottom of the situation. Teaming up with ace reporter Nellie Brie (Susan Boyd), Fievel follows a trail of mystifying clues to uncover the monster's true identity...
