Almost Victory is a fictional story of Beri AndersonA[i1/2i1/2s struggle to cope with and overcome the many challenges she is confronted with as a young girl. Despite her own problems Beri goes out of her way to befriend a troubled Mary Helen McElroy a classmate and neighbor with serious emotional problems that gradually spirals dangerously out of control and ultimately exposes deceptions, lies and horrors that nearly destroys a family and paralyzes an entire community.
