Publisher's Synopsis
Collection of three Christmassy comedies. In 'All I Want for Christmas' (1991), brother and sister, Ethan (Ethan Embry) and Hallie (Thora Birch), are about to experience their first Christmas since the divorce of their parents, but the kids cook up a complex Christmas Eve plot to get rid of Mom's obnoxious new boyfriend and effect a reconciliation with Dad. In 'Surviving Christmas' (2004), Drew Latham (Ben Affleck) is a successful business executive who is tired of spending Christmas alone, and decides to rent a typical All-American family to brighten up the festive season. Making the Valco family an offer they can't refuse, Drew moves in for Christmas. But before long, his spoiled antics and outrageous demands turn a happy holiday into a nightmare. In 'Scrooged' (1988), Bill Murray plays Frank, a network TV president and modern-day Scrooge who is always looking out for number one. One night, as Christmas approaches, he is visited by three zany ghosts including ex-New York Doll David Johansen as the Ghost of Christmas Past and Carol Kane as a violent Ghost of Christmas Present; whilst jazz great Miles Davis appears in a cameo role as a street musician.
