Agent Marty Bear has returned for Andie after being secluded in Witness Protection for far too long. He knows she's going to be furious with him and the situation but the man just can't help himself. For three long years he's dreamed of nothing but having Andie back in his arms. Once she's there again he will never let go again.
The beauty of their reuniting is ultimately interrupted by one of the most bizarre cases NABSU has ever taken on - someone is killing pregnant women and it's not pretty. Andie and Marty take their team into the upper reaches of Michigan to capture a killer before any more lives are lost. Ultimately, though, this proves easier said than done what with weather, numerous jurisdictions at play and interfering locals creating roadblocks in the investigation.
