Alkaline Earth Metal Perchlorates is Volume 41 of the Solubility Data Series . A substantial amount of solubility data for the alkaline earth metal perchlorates (beryllium, magnesium, strontium and barium), in water, non-aqueous solvents and multicomponent systems, has not been made readily available to scientists outside the USSR in the past because the data were published in journals that are not easily accessible. This Volume addresses this problem through critical evaluations of relevant solubility data compiled from all recognized publications, many of which are of Soviet origin. Literature coverage comprises about 140 references, and is complete up to the end of 1987. The original data, especially those from Soviet sources, have been recalculated to conform to SI units. Numerous phase diagrams have also been included to assist the reader in identifying various equilibria. As in all Volumes of the Series, system, formula, CAS Registry Number and author indexes are included. The title compounds have wide application, ranging from simple uses as drying agents and gas absorbents to more complex uses as catalytic curing agents in the textile industry.
