Publisher's Synopsis

Trio of early films from legendary director Alfred Hitchcock. 'The Pleasure Garden' (1925) is a melodrama about the love lives of two chorus girls, Patsy (Virginia Valli) and Jill (Carmelita Geraghty). Patsy meets and marries Levett (Miles Mander), who just happens to be the best friend of Jill's fiancé, Fielding (John Stuart). When both men leave to do work in the colonies, the fidelity of the girls and their partners is tested. Will their relationships survive the separation? 'The Farmer's Wife' (1928) follows the fortunes of Farmer Sweetland (Jameson Thomas), a lonely widower who decides to remarry. Struggling to pick a suitable wife, he asks his housekeeper, Araminta (Lillian Hall-Davis), to help him select a suitable woman for the role, but is the right person so close to him that he has simply been unable to see her? In 'Easy Virtue' (1928) divorcée Larita Filton (Isabel Jeans) heads to France to try and find a life away from the stigmatism that comes with her marital history. She quickly meets and seduces John Whittaker (Robin Irvine) and the pair are married. However, will John's prying family discover the secret of Larita's past?
