Publisher's Synopsis
Alec Thompson was the son of Paul Thompson who, like his family before him had somehow had 'the Power'. His mother Jean Thompson and her family had also had the 'Power'and it was believed that Alec, being the union of two such Powers would probably have even more than his parents had. Alec liked his bike and cycled quite a lot but his friend had now got a motorbike and he wanted to get one as well. Eventually he did get one and Susan Jackson, a girl that he knew was also going to get a motorbike so, as they had known each other for a good few years it eventually happened that they did go out riding together sometimes, along with his other friend Jack, and his girlfriend Janet.Susan and Alec were going to go to a dance but Alec knew that he had two left feet and was not much good at dancing. However, when they got to the dance, Alec invoked the power and he impressed many people there with that ability. This was one of the early times when he had invoked the power but as the time passed, he did that more and more, and sometimes with some amazing results. On one such occasion while out with Susan he invoked in some way, an engagement ring and Susan began to learn a little about this Power that he had. As the tale develops, Alec uses the Power quite a lot and Susan is quite often with him as he tries out new things for the Power to try and achieve.What the end result of the Power may be could well lead him into a life of helping people in a lot of places, and Susan will no doubt be there with him when he does a lot of it.
