Publisher's Synopsis
This book contains real stories from my experience that underline, and hopefully actualize, what this agile movement is all about. These stories do not contain the actual names of companies, organizations, or people. We Agilists don't do that. However, not one of these is fake, they're real and I hope you enjoy them. So, one could say that this is a collection of my "greatest hits", or the things that have worked well for me as a professional and an Agile Coach. The lessons in this book can be applied to any background, experience, or worldview, they are Agile, and Agile is everywhere.
The true purpose of this book is wisdom. I discovered, probably a little too late in life, the value of wisdom. I find most people are oblivious to it, but everyone's response to wisdom is the same - they think. We have been brainwashed to make decisions based on our feelings at the expense of our ability to think and at the expense of wisdom. The search for wisdom yields truth, clarity, peace, and happiness. I want you to find the value of wisdom earlier than I did. To support that wisdom, this book will answer the "why" part of Agile Scrum, Kanban, and so on. Agile is a means to an end, not the other way around, so if you don't get why this Agile-stuff was created, or why it works in real life, you need this book before you waste more time and money.
