Publisher's Synopsis
A comprehensive quantitative and qualitative assessment of the energy and environmental marketplace, this report is based on a survey of AEE's members. It covers a industry overview, a salary survey, demand-side management market activities, and co-generation and independent power production activities.;Arranged in four sections, the report first compiles ratings of the effectiveness of specific types of energy conservation equipment; survey participants were asked what types of energy management equipment had already been installed by their organization, what specific savings were achieved, and what equipment they planned to add over the next 12 monmths. Other responses evaluated factors which drive the energy and environmnetal marketplace, including legislative and regulatory mandates, utility programmes, and fuel availability and pricing. The DSM section reports on the specific impact of utility incentive/rebate programmmes, including which aspects of available DSM programmes had the greatest economic impact.;The final section examines the impact of EPA on co-generation and IPP equipment, and assesses current trends in utility attitudes towards co-generation and facilitation of transmission access to non-utility power producers.
