Adventures of Dirt Dan and the Dirt Dan Gang is a series that follows a
unique boy and his friends with special needs as they explore the world
of BMX and extreme sports. While contending with bullies and social
norms, the gang embraces their differences, special talents and self
acceptance as they go from weirdo to hero.
In Book I, First Day of School: So They Call You Weird, Huh?, Dirt Dan
and his parents move to a new a town, where he tries to make friends
and fit in at a new school. While remaining true to himself, Dirt Dan
struggles with getting called names and being different. When the
classroom pet snake goes missing, Dirt Dan's special abilities save the day!
