Professor Welch fell asleep at Healing Springs, Virginia, on the twenty-ninth of june, 1890. The burial was in the Fort Hill cemetery in Auburn, on the second of July. At his late residence and at the grave, there were brief and simple services, conducted by his pastor, with the assistance of the profes sors in the Seminary and other ministers of Auburn.
