I. One great office of the American ballot is to teach the com mon citizen the principles Of politics by the use Of the ballot, of the interests of the affairs Of the State, county, and nation. It will help you to know the departments of the Government, and to know when any Offense is committed by any of its officers and how to correct that one when he needs correcting. It IS one of the greatest educa tors that can be given a people. We can not afford to be without the ballot. There is no school more potential than is the school Of the American ballot.
