Tarhe or Crane, who served with General Harri son, had much to do with the defeat of Proctor on the Thames. He was the foe of Tecumseh, the Shawnee. He was against the Americans at Fallen Timbers in 1794, but later came to know that the Indian's welfare had better be trusted to the Ameri can people than to any other.
