Publisher's Synopsis
Adamantine, a one-act drama, debuted in Oconto in 1993 and went on to place in a national competition. It was performed by Love Creek Productions in New York City in 1996. Synopsis: When Michael Baxter stays out late after a party (yet again), Laura decides that she's had enough. She packs his belongings and has the suitcases waiting by the door. When he arrives, a discussion ensues. Apologies flow and confessions surface that cover a lifetime-their lifetime. At what point is there no chance for a 'second chance'? When can we afford to turn a deaf ear to apologies and explanations? When can we be certain that it's time to let go . . . time to move on? At what point does love die? This play visits these questions, yet leaves us to draw our own conclusions. Perhaps love does last forever . . . we may never know. Double Engagement, a one-act comedy, was performed by The Machickanee Players, Oconto, in May of 2016.
