This volume analyzes the general properties of explosives, especially occasional explosives, gaseous mixtures liable to explode, condensed explosives rather than conventional explosives, and tests and safety devices. The consequences of explosions are also discussed.;Both volumes are heavily biased towards the physical and chemical properties of the substances, devoting little attention to the engineering aspects of their processing and transport. There are numerous tables of numerical data, and information on some rare explosive cases.
