Two civilizations meet after hundreds of years of isolation! But Denbigh and his crew meet another civilization, the State of Tuonela, whose people believe they are the only surviving humans. Now an ambassador trying to represent his people to their new neighbors in the galaxy, Denbigh must learn about Tuonela and find his friends and enemies there.
