Mr. Lincoln was the first President of the United States to have a cat as a pet at the White House. "Tabby" was his name. A reporter once asked Mary Lincoln what the President does for relaxation. She replied, "Cats, the President loves cats!" Fashioned by my soul, the writings are an expression of beauty, feelings and sentiments. With the ideas, thoughts and dreams of cats, I have created an imaginary world for the reader, the lover of cats. The anthology consists of limericks, acrostic and narrative poems as well as elegies and sonnets. Paint on the canvas is produced by the artist, inspiring words on the paper are revealed by the poet. Some of the famous people who loved cats and are a part of this work include: Abraham Lincoln, Alexandre Dumas, Maurice Ravel, Frederick Chopin, Albert Einstein, Elinor Glyn, Florence Nightingale, Sir Winston Churchill, Marie Antoinette, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Calvin Coolidge, Frederick Douglass, and Pierre Auguste Renoir.
