An educational ABC alphabet picture book for kids - to help children learn the English alphabet at the same time as letting them see the people, places, and culture of island countries. Part of a series of ABC books that focuses on countries. Having children of our own that are growing up in a different country to where their parents and grandparents are from, we see the need for having some early cultural awareness and word recognition of other places that may be significant to their family. We hope this book promotes discussion at family reading time into what it means to live a in different country. The book has a page for the following islands / countries / continents: Antarctica, Bahrain, Cuba, Dominican Republic, East Timor, Fiji, Greenland, Haiti, Indonesia, Jamaica, Kiribati, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, Papua New Guinea, North Sentinel Island, Ireland, Samoa, Tonga, United Kingdom (UK), Vanuatu, New Zealand. The following seas and oceans are mentioned: Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, Caribbean Sea, Irish Sea, Bay of Bengal.Each page has some engaging images and a small fact about the subject. It is packed with pictures of all sorts of animals and scenery.
