Many of the poems, have drawn much attention in the online social media sites, where Victoria likes to share her work. The poems are bold, unapologetic and flow like short monologues. Through this book, you really get to know her as a poet, a woman, and a survivor. The book tells no lies, and leaves nothing to hide. There is a poem for every woman in this book. The poems in my book, A Woman Apart, is some of my most precious poems. They show that I'm still hear, and I still want to be heard.
