Publisher's Synopsis

Kids' fears are as unique as their personalities. Many young kids are afraid of animals and insects, characters in costumes, and things that go bump in the night. Others fear loud noises or believe they'll be sucked down the toilet when it flushes. Even kids who don't believe in the boogeyman may fret about schoolyard bullies.

Each country and culture has its own boogeyman. In Western Europe and North America, its origin (loosely) states a priest became corrupted and preyed on children. He would trick parents into giving him their children to dole out punishment. The parents, believing the priest would do what's best, naively surrendered their naughty kids to him.

The mid-watch, the time between midnight and 4 a.m., has been a serious and crucial post of security in wartime for centuries. Unfortunately, it hasn't translated into the spiritual war because it's a battle largely off our radar. If unseen then, unreal. But when a photoshoot with an interesting subject enlightened me to the evidence of something more sinister invading my home, as a dad, I had a decision to make.
Do I wake up and stand the mid-watch? Or force my eyes closed? Truth is, this real and powerful enemy who started tormenting my youngest daughter in her own room, wasn't going to quit until he took us all out.
