This title is a collection of traditional prayers used by Roman Catholics throughout the centuries. In 1968, this collection was published in Latin by the Holy See. Some bishops requested that the collection be translated by ICEL for use throughout the English-speaking world. The book begins with a short introduction explaining the different types of prayer as understood in the light of the Second Vatican Council. This is followed by seven sections with the different prayers.
