In preparing this volume the limited time of the over crowded medical student has been taken into consideration. The facts have been stated brie?y and an attempt has been made to put them clearly. Many subjects that are given space in text-books on gynecology, but which belong to general surgery, have been omitted. Many rare diseases are treated very brie?y. The greater amount of space is given to diseases that are common and with which it is essential that the student should be familiar. It is believed that enough has been given on each subject to constitute a thorough presentation of it.
