Marsh Farm has definitely seen better days. Charlie Tucker is too busy playing the field to notice, while his brother Stephen is hopelessly in love with the star of the local am-dram society. Little sister Alison is desperate to dispense with her virginal state, and their mother Jenny dreams of escaping to Weston-Super-Mare in the arms of the local vet. So grandmother Elsie issues an ultimatum: either her grandsons find brides or they lose their slice of the farm. Meanwhile, covetous neighbours want Marsh Farm for a stud farm, and are not averse to helping hasten the departure of the Tuckers...
