Meanwhile, a semi-retired detective, Paul Fisher, is called to take over the elusive Heartbreak case. Still struggling with the inner demons left by the death of his wife, Paul agrees to head the case to protect his only daughter from the threat of the Heartbreak Killer. With the pressure of the hounding media demanding to know the killers identity and an increasing fear that the person behind these acts may resemble himself more than he would desire, Paul desperately tries to solve the case before he too is engulfed in darkness.
But the Heartbreak Killer has other plans, already setting his sights on a new target. However, during Perry's stalk, a shocking discovery is made. The woman that he desires to kill is none other than Detective Paul Fishers daughter, Alexis.
