The following questions are being asked those who are responsible for the administration of the public schools at the present time: First, What are the schools doing for children between the ages of 5 and 13 years, and second, are the. Children who are leaving the public schools to-day as well fitted to go out into the world or to go on with their studies as they were fifty years ago. A study of local conditions and statistics will make the most positive somewhat cautious in giving replies which would indicate that our work and its results are above criticism.
