Those were the unknowns and challenges that, as a mother, I faced in the face of the transcendence of one of my daughters. I looked for various sources such as stories, videos, and expert recommendations, and no option satisfied me. So I ventured to write a story that could communicate, carefully and lovingly, such a sensitive subject.
Through this story, the conversation is about death, appreciating and valuing the legacy and our bond with that special being, and challenging the dominant social discourses of saying goodbye forever. On the contrary, understanding and normalizing pain is a natural process of grieving and choosing how to accompany it. Re-connecting with our loved one who has passed away and allowing his voice, influence, and teachings to continue to be present in our lives.
In addition, it is an interactive story where you will find questions that can guide you, as a parent or significant adult, and your little one to talk about what can be a painful and difficult subject in a loving and meaningful approach.
